Welcome To Chelsea: Kai Havertz Reportedly Sign 5-Years Contract With Chelsea

Havertz missing from Leverkusen testing day

Chelsea has reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for their German playmaker Kai Havertz. The deal is reported to be Wirth around €100M including bonus payments. Only small details need to be sorted along with signatures.

Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz is missing from today’s training performance test, say reports in Germany.

They say he has passed a coronavirus test, as refusing to do so would have seen him removes from the Germany national side, but was absent for today’s performance test.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano now says that is is “only a matter of time” until he becomes a Chelsea player.

Reports in Germany claim Kai Havertz missed training with Bayer Leverkusen today amid reports of closing in on a move to Chelsea. It seems just a matter of time before this deal is finally wrapped up.

The Sun claim three more signings are wanted as part of their summer overhaul.

The midfielder attended mandatory coronavirus testing on Friday and Saturday, which was a necessary requirement for him to link-up with the Germany squad for their upcoming Uefa Nations League fixtures with Spain and Switzerland next week

Though the Blues have been closing in on a deal for Havertz for some time, this is the biggest hint that has been issued about the prospect of a deal being very close to being completed.

Should Chelsea get a deal over the line for the attacking-midfielder, he would become the club’s sixth signing of a very busy summer, following Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva in sealing moves to Stamford Bridge.
