Wolves vs Newcastle
English Premier League
Date: Saturday 2nd October 2021
Kick off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Molineux Stadium (Wolverhampton).
Wolves beat Southampton 1-0 last weekend and it was a much needed win as they have started poorly. But it was also a very emotional victory. This is because the winning goal came from Raul Jimenez who had been out long term due to his head injury last December, it was his first goal since coming back and it was a great one too.
This win has put Wolves in 14th place with six points and they have won 2 of their last three games. Confidence is slowly building in the side and it was a good display also to keep a clean sheet.
Newcastle are in 17th place and are searching for their first win of the season. They have drawn their last two games against Watford and Leeds and seem to be trying to steady the ship. The Magpies have already lost twice away from home though and it is clear that their away form is not going to be good this season.

Wolves vs Newcastle: Prediction
There are a lot of patterns here, we can see that Wolves do not have a winning record at home over Newcastle, yet they are slightly the better side coming into this game.
There are repeat scores of 1-1, five in a row and in fact if we go further back we can also find 3 in a row. In short these games are very tight. We are at the beginning of the season but here we have two teams who we believe will set up cautiously, this is why this could be a very close game.
If either manager got a point from this game we think they would be happy, we have to aim for low scoring game in this one in a match which may not produce the goods if both sides set up negatively
