West Ham have been impressive so far this season. They have lost just once in 2021-22 in all competitions, and the sole loss had come against Manchester United.
Lately, they are on a great run, and are scoring goals in huge numbers. They have also just posted a dominant win in the Europa League, and if recent performances are any indication, the team is going after a top-six finish at the least.
Do note that they had finished sixth in the table the last season, above the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, Everton etc.
In the meantime, Brentford have all the makings to be the black horses of this edition of the PL. Despite being a new addition to the top flight (they were promoted from the Championship at the end of 2020-22), the team has been wreaking havoc.
They started their run with a 2-0 win at home against Arsenal, and just the last match-day, they delivered an impressive 3-3 draw against current toppers and all-conquering Liverpool.
West Ham surely do have their work cut out for them this weekend. Still, they are at home, and have a great h2h record against this rival. They might not secure a clean sheet this Sunday, but a win is surely the expected outcome.
