Inter Milan have been in great form and while wins over Napoli (1-0) and Spezia (2-1) came rather narrowly at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium over the past seven days, it’s obvious Antonio Conte’s men have a lot to build on as they catch up with AC Milan at the top of the table.
Nerazzurri now bagged six consecutive wins in Serie A despite struggles to make an impact in the Champions League and finding themselves with no UEFA competitions to play in the spring. They will now want to keep it up and finish the year top of the table, with hopes the city rivals will slip up as they host Lazio on the day.
Verona have shown off as a very tough side to beat on many occasions early in the new campaign. Still, they failed to turn games against unpredictable rivals in Sampdoria (1-2) and Fiorentina (1-1) over the past week and this will be worrying. They’ve been scoring goals but it’s very questionable whether a good mood in the final third can be enough against in-form rivals such as Inter Milan at this point.
