Liverpool vs Burnley
English Premier League
Date: Saturday 21st August 2021
Kick off at 12:30 UK/ 13:30 CET
Liverpool will play their first home game proper with fans full since they last won the league title because of the pandemic. We should expect an incredible atmosphere in the Kop end and the whole of the stadium and this will be a huge advantage to an already quality squad that manager Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal.
The Reds looked very slick and confident on the opening weekend of the season as they beat Norwich 3-0 away from home and they dominated the game having 19 goal attempts. They will also be happy not to have conceded any goals.
Burnley are in 12th place after they lost their first game of the season against Brighton 2-1 and they were at home. Sean Dyche’s team took the lead and they looked like they were going to narrowly win the game with just 15 minutes to go and still in the lead. But Brighton’s telling pressure showed and they were the better team overall and scored two late goals.
It would have been a suckerpunch for the team, now the question is, how do they react from that? And now they have to face one of the best team in the Premier League and away from home.

- The last time the teams played was in May when Liverpool won 3-0.
Liverpool vs Burnley: Prediction
Despite Burnley beating Liverpool last time out they are 18.00 to win this game. The reason is that everyone understands that Burnley winning at Anfield is something very rare.
This is Liverpool’s first game in 18 months with a full crowd, the noise will be shattering as if this is the biggest game for Liverpool and there will be many emotions. Liverpool’s players are very good at working on this.
This is why we see no chance for the away side, and Liverpool should put in a very good performance where they can score goals. It is important for the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino that they have already scored this season, it gives strikers extra confidence. Burnley would do good not to concede more than 3 goals at the weekend
