Leeds United vs Everton
England Premier League
Date: Wednesday, 3 February 2021
Kick-Off at 19.30 UK
Venue: Elland Road, Leeds.

Both Leeds and Everton have been playing hot and cold throughout the entire season. They are probably the two teams whose matches are the toughest to call.

The Peacocks have thus surprised everyone by netting three goals past the in-form Leicester City side on Sunday.

Not many experts saw it coming after a dismal streak of three successive defeats (including the home loss to Brighton and the embarrassing away defeat at Crawley in the FA Cup) and a slow display in a 1-2 win over out-of-form Newcastle United.

However, Patrick Bamford shone on Sunday, netting a goal and delivering two assists in the team’s magnificent effort at King Power Stadium.

The English forward is one of the best scorers in the league with 11 goals in 20 matches. He did struggle with a small injury problem late in the match at King Power Stadium which is why we are slightly concerned about his physical condition ahead of the home fixture with Everton, though.

Leeds vs Everton Head-to-head

  • Leeds United have been a major force in the history of this match-up. They won 48, drew 28, and lost 25 of 101 clashes against the Toffees.
  • The Peacocks picked up a narrow 0-1 victory thanks to Raphinha’s goal when they last played Everton in November last year at the Goodison. It was an eventful contest with numerous goal-scoring chances at both ends.
  • It is interesting to mention that Everton have won just 3 of 51 away matches against the Peacocks.

Leeds vs Everton Prediction

The Toffees are four points above Leeds United in the middle of the Premier League standings (and have a game in hand). They have rarely had a full squad available this season, but Carlo Ancelotti will have such a luxury on Wednesday evening at Elland Road.

James Rodriguez, Lucas Digne, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are all expected to start. They could cause serious troubles to the leaky Leeds’ defence and we would not underestimate the visitors here, despite their horrendous display in the weekend’s 0-2 home defeat to Newcastle United.

As mentioned above, the previous head to head encounter ended in a 0-1 win for Leeds, but it was a super-exciting match with plenty of chances at both ends.

With predators like Bamford and Calvert-Lewin, and in-form likes of Raphinha and James Rodriguez all set to feature, we simply have to expect a goal fest here.

The Over 2.5 goals FT & Both Teams To Score is by far the best betting option at the 1.83 odds.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has 11 goals in 18 appearances this season. He should have plenty of room to deliver past the attacking-minded Leeds side here. We’ll back him to score anytime at the 2.20 odds.
