Lazio vs Torino
Italy Serie A
Date: Tuesday, 2 March 2021
Kick-Off at 17.30 UK
Venue: Stadio Olimpico, Rome.
Lazio failed to bounce back from a demolishing Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich as they fell 2-0 away at Bologna on Saturday evening. I Biancocelesti have thus significantly halted their push for the top-four finish and are now three points short of Atalanta in the fourth place. Simone Inzaghi’s men will be desperate to return to the winning ways on Tuesday night when they play host to relegation-threatened Torino in the first game of the mid-week’s Serie A round.
I Granata were not in action in the previous round. They were supposed to open the Matchday with the home fixture against Sassuolo. Nevertheless, the game was postponed due to seven positive cases for illness in the squad led by Davide Nicola. The visitors thus played their last game on February 19th, when the4y clinched their third win of the season by beating direct relegation rivals Cagliari 0-1 on the road.
Lazio vs Torino Head-to-head
- Lazio have been the dominant force in this match-up, both historically and in the last several clashes.
- I Biancocelesti won three matches on the trot against Torino. The streak includes this season’s 3-4 victory in Turin.
- Each of the last four head to head encounters between the two sides produced at least three goals.
Lazio vs Torino Prediction
Torino will certainly be handicapped without seven players here. They have generally been very easy to break down throughout the entire season and we doubt I Granata (in this condition) will be capable of keeping highly-motivated Lazio at bay here. The hosts can ill afford another failure here. They should have the full squad available and the comprehensive home victory in a high-scoring affair has to be the way to go for the bettors.
The value is fantastic with the 1.80 odds offered for the Over 2.5 goals FT pick. Each of the last four head to head games between the two outfits ended with such a scenario. We will also take the 2.35 odds for the hosts to win by at least two goals difference.
