Inter Milan saw a disappointing end to their Champions League campaign but returned to Serie A in a good mood. They closed the gap to pace-setters AC Milan and now sit just a point behind them, which promises Antonio Conte’s men very motivated to impress once again.
Nerazzurri beat Cagliari (1-3) and Napoli (1-0) in their last two outings and while they had trouble midway through the week, it certainly gives Inter ground to build on. They have a rather lenient schedule but will want to keep their cool late in 2020, emphasizing the importance of points against sides such as Spezia and Verona.
Spezia have shown off as a tough side to beat but sit just outside the relegation zone. They were beaten by Lazio (1-2) and more disappointingly Crotone (4-1) in early December, only ending the streak in a 2-2 draw against Bologna. They struggled defensively and saw it costly, as they conceded two late goals on Wednesday – which will be just as worrying now. Still, we don’t see them as an easy rival to deal with and Inter Milan could be forced into a thriller on Sunday.

We will back Inter Milan to bag their historic first win over Spezia on the day but we don’t see this as smooth sailing anyway. They could have to score a goal more if they’re to make it happened and with that in mind, we’re going for Inter to win and Over 3.5 goals FT at 2.30!
Spezia have been scoring and conceding numbers of goals and they will be looking to capitalize on Inter’s shortcomings at the back. We are thus also going for a YES on Both teams to score at 1.90 – which could prove like a great approach to the fixture. Nerazzurri haven’t been impressive defensively and this would be more of the same in that sense as well.
