Barcelona vs Levante
Spain – La Liga
Date: Sunday, 26 September 2021
Kick-off at 15:15 UK/ 16:15 CET
Venue: Camp Nou.
Barca have been in free fall for quite some time, and it seems like the time of Ronald Koeman is up at the club. Should he wish to save his career at the club, the team will have to deliver a massive win this weekend – no excuses given.
Chances are high it might happen too. The players as well as the management is in panic mode, the game is at the Nou Camp, and they are hosting one of the worst teams in the league. If a win does not happen this Sunday, all hell will break loose.
However, it needs to be mentioned that the Catalans are on an unbeaten run so far, and they have also managed to stay seventh in standings, despite having a fixture in hand.
In the meantime, Levante are yet to win a game this new season, and they are currently placed 16th in the tablẹ. So far they have scored goals at a rate of just one per match-up, and only the four bottom-most teams in the table have conceded more than them.
On top of that, Koeman’s men also have a great h2h record against this rival over the years.
By the looks of things, expect a hard-fought, and much-needed win for Barcelona.
Barcelona vs Levante: Head-to-head (h2h)
- The latest encounter had ended in a 3-3 draw.
- Barca had won four of the former six clashes.
- At this venue, the hosts have a 100% winning record since 2004.
- The combined scorecard for the preceding nine meetings at this venue is 37-3, in favor of them.
Barcelona vs Levante Prediction
Barcelona were held to a goalless draw the last match-day by Cadiz. In the meantime, Levante lost 0-2 at home against Celta Vigo.
Going on, despite all their problems, the Catalans have lost just once this whole season in all competitions – against Bayern in the Champions League.
They also have an unbelievable h2h record against this rival over the years, and have scored goals at a superb rate in the process.
On the other hand, their counterparts last won a fixture back in April, and they have a total of one victory on the road in the past seven-month period.
Likely, expect the desperate Barcelona to take advantage of this match-up against a minnow, and record a win.
However, as said, the Catalans are under a lot of pressure, and their defense has not been great lately. They will also not have the services of Frenkie de Jong due to a red card.
