Arsenal vs Leeds
England – Premier League
Date: Sunday, 14 February 2021
Kick-off at 16:30 UK/ 17:30 CET
Venue: Emirates Stadium.

After a brief period of form, the Gunners have returned to their old struggles. They are once again finding it hard to post points on the board, and are conceding goals in alarming numbers.

As of now, they are placed 11th in the table, and have managed to score a total of just 27 goals so far from their 23 fixtures.

Meanwhile, the Peacocks seem to be once again in form. In fact, right from the beginning of the campaign, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have gone through intermittent periods of form and struggles, and as of now, they are performing well.

And realizing the intense competition for the top-tier spots, the newly-promoted team would try their best to make the most of this period where they are playing well.

However, it needs to be noted that the Peacocks have not been that great in defense all this campaign, and have conceded goals in huge numbers. They also have an inferior h2h record against this opponent over the years.

Likely, expect Arsenal to score at least once this Sunday.

Arsenal vs Leeds: Head-to-head (h2h)

  • Mikel Arteta’s men are unbeaten in the last eight meetings, and six of these were wins.
  • They were also unbeaten in 20 of the preceding 24 clashes.
  • Since 1994, the guests have won just twice at this venue.
  • It’s been 28 years since the hosts have failed to score at this ground.

Arsenal vs Leeds Prediction

The Gunners lost 1-0 on the road the last match-day, against Aston Villa. In the meantime, Bielsa’s men had won 2-0 at home the past game week, against Crystal Palace.

Going on, Arteta’s men are on a three-match winless run, and had remained so in six of their preceding eight games.

On the other hand, their counterparts had won three of their last four overall fixtures, and had scored two or more goals in three of their former match-ups.  Note that they had also failed to score just two of their previous fifteen road trips.

Likely, expect Leeds to emerge victorious this weekend.

However, take note that the Gunners have a terrific h2h record against this foe over the years, and the Peacocks have conceded three or more goals in five of their last nine games on the road.

By the looks of things, expect goals from either side of the pitch this weekend.
