Bayer Leverkusen Sporting Director Rudi Voller on Kai Havertz‘ future: “…and we have a clear agreement with him and his representatives that he can only leave us if certain requirements are met. Otherwise he’s staying here.
Chelsea will look to strengthen their squad in three more positions after wrapping up a transfer for Kai Havertz.
The Blues are trying to get a deal finished for the German midfielder, who is valued at £90m by Bayer Leverkusen.
But a mega-money transfer for the 21-year-old, the highest scorer in Bundesliga history for his age, will not mean the end of business for the London side this summer.
Speaking on the London is Blue podcast, journalist Matt Law said: “When they get Kai Havertz over the line, which I think is a when rather than an if, I think the defensive positions, a left back, potentially a centre back, and a goalkeeper will take a lot longer.”

Chelsea have been warned there is a deadline to complete the signing of Kai Havertz.
The Blues see the attacking midfielder as the last piece of their jigsaw for the front half of the team.
Havertz is wanted by other clubs, and Bild journalist Christian Falk reports Leverkusen have set the 28th of August – the start of preseason training – as a deadline to complete the move.
The Bundesliga club wants Havertz focused on the coming season if a transfer does not go through.
Now it is up to the Blues to make an offer that the German club considers good enough.
Multiple sources in Europe have indicated Havertz has all but agreed personal terms and is happy to move to Chelsea.

They will have to sell before they can keep on adding and adding and adding,” Law added.
“They’re reliant on the futures of players already at the club. They’ll be trying to sort them out in tandem with trying to bring new players in.
“I can see them having two or three deals go right up until the end of the transfer window easily.

He is one player that top European teams have monitored for some time now especially Chelsea. Rumours began of Chelsea working tirelessly to get his signature.
Kai Havertz is unofficially a Chelsea player after the lad has agreed that he is living Bayern Leverkusen for the English Premier League, specifically for the blues.
So, Chelsea are able to “take their time” over a deal for Kai Havertz, according to Matt Law.
He told the London Is Blue podcast: “I think everything is pretty much unofficially agreed for the player.
“There’s no real competition for him. There’s an acceptance from Leverkusen and Chelsea that he’s going to end up at Chelsea.
“This seems to be all heading in that direction. Then Chelsea are in a good negotiating position at that point.
“There’s no way, given her track record, that Marina is going to say ‘you can have what you want’, she will negotiate hard at this point.
“There’s nobody else who will pay all the money, he’s made clear he wants to leave, he’s made clear he wants to go to Chelsea.
“So Chelsea hold all the aces… Marina can slightly take her time.”

Will Kai Havertz be a Chelsea player before the start of the 2020/21 season?
The Blues do not need to tie up a deal before September 12, with the transfer window open until October, but head coach Frank Lampard will be keen to have the forward in his ranks before a ball is kicked to integrate him into his team.
However, while the transfer saga has been going on for some weeks now, Bayer Leverkusen have reiterated their stance on the deal – he will not be allowed to leave on the cheap.
The Bundesliga side are believed to be holding out for a fee somewhere in the region of £90million, though Chelsea are trying to push down that asking price.
With that in mind, here is a round-up of everything we know so far about the Blues’ pursuit of the 21-year-old and what the very latest developments are.
Six attributes that could make Havertz the ideal signing for Chelsea
Chelsea may have already secured the signing of Ajax sensation Ziyech for next season but you can never have too much quality, right?
And that is an opinion held by Leverkusen assistant boss Marcel Daum, who has outlined the midfielder’s qualities.
He told talkSPORT: “If you see his movement, he’s very elegant, he’s always calm, he has great passing ability. What a lot of people don’t see, because we watch him every day, is that he’s pretty fast. That’s a big bonus.
“He’s a great player; he’s scoring goals, he’s great in the air and he’s pretty fast.
“It’s up to him how far he can go
