Timo Werner was the player the media pulled aside for an interview after a game where he scored two goals, but he was quick to shift praise elsewhere.
He pointed to the defence, who have kept 5 clean sheets in a row now, as the heart of the recent surge in Chelsea’s form, and we agree with him.
The forwards were already doing their bit, now the back line is sorted we have picked up crazy momentum, and fast too. Werner must be tired, but if he can keep scoring, we’ll keep winning.
You can see the clip of the striker talking embedded here:
"It's good for me, and good for the team!" ☺️
Timo Werner is glad to help from the penalty spot, but the clean sheet was more important for the Chelsea striker! #beINUCL
