RB Leipzig joke £53m former striker is ready to go back to Germany after he is caught texting in the stands during Chelsea’s FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal

Red Bull Leipzig have rubbed salt into Chelsea’s FA Cup wounds. RB Leipzig troll Chelsea with brilliant social media post after Timo Werner spotted on his phone

Chelsea have been beaten in the FA Cup final, losing 2-1 to London rivals Arsenal at an empty Wembley Stadium.

The Blues took the lead in the first half, through a wonderful Christian Pulisic goal, but thereafter it was all about Arsenal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised from the penalty spot after he was fouled by Cesar Azpilicueta and the Gabonese striker netted his second of the game in the second half, dinking over Willy Caballero to win the cup for a 14th time for the Gunners.

Chelsea did not have much chance after that, with Mateo Kovacic seeing red for two bookable offences.

Frank Lampard has made two summer signings already to bolster his squad ahead of the start of the 2020/21 campaign, and at least one of them were present at Wembley Stadium to watch their new team-mates in action.

Timo Werner was seen chatting to his new team-mates on the pitch ahead of the game against the Gunners and he was also seen in the stands during the match, with the cameras panning to him on more than one occasion.

On one of those occasions, Werner was seen tapping into his phone and that has led to his former club RB Leipzig trolling the Blues on Twitter.

Leipzig sold the German international for a fee of around £47.5million, but their social media post suggests the frontman might be thinking of returning to Germany.

The official English account for the German side tweeted a graphic which said: “Timo Werner is typing.”

It was quite the dig
