Shanghai Shenhua offered a two-year contract extension worth ₦176 million (£400,000) per week

Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo who is currently on loan at Premier League side Manchester United loanee, has been offered a two-year contract extension worth ₦176 million (£400,000) per week by his parent club Shanghai Shenhua.

The former Watford striker has scored 4 goals in three starts and has tally up to 8 games so far United since joining in January, and has offered this mouthwatering deal by his parent club following his scintillating form on his return to England.

Ighalo’s current form has led to calls for a permanent deal for the Nigerian at Old Trafford, or at least an extension. The 30-year-old forward’s contract with Shanghai has now been extedend to december 2024 from the original expiry date which was due by December 2022.

Meanwhile, his current loan spell at Old Trafford is due to expire on May 31st but will, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, be extended till June 30th.

He took a pay-cut to join Manchester United on the last day of the January transfer window which has always been his dream move, but will be forced to choose between escalating his bank balance or continue his dream of playing for United, if he is given a permanent contract at the end of his loan.

My question is that should he accept this offer from his parent club or stay with Manchester United ?
