See What Timo Werner Posted On Instagram After Scoring His First Goal As Chelsea Player

Chelsea’s new boy Timo Werner has taken to Social media after scoring his first Chelsea goal and Chelsea fans will definitely love what he posted. The blues took on Brighton in a pre season friendly game that ended in a 1-1 draw. Although, the scoreline wasn’t quite appealing to some fans considering the amount the club has spent but there are also many positives to be drawn from their performance.

The German centre-forward netted inside the opening four minutes by firing the ball between the goalkeeper’s legs inside the penalty box after an assist from Hudson odoi. And he showed some great movement while on the pitch. Brighton later levelled things up through the penalty spot late in the second half. However, both teams will have another opportunity to lock horns as the west Londoners will be playing away to Brighton on September 14.

Both Timo Werner and hakim ziyech started and they played really well but unfortunately ziyech got injured. Timo Werner arrived at Chelsea with lots of expectations and that early goal against Brighton will certainly boost his confidence ahead of next season.

Werner will be hoping to replicate that form that saw him score an incredible 28 goals in 34 league games for Leipzig. And don’t forget that he scored 34 goals and assisted 13 times in all competitions.

Werner posted on Instagram after his goal against Brighton, which also promoted a congratulations in response from teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi.
