Chilwell has been working on his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury since completing his transfer from Leicester City three weeks ago. The left-back has not featured since sustaining the injury at the start of July in a Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

Thiago Silva, meanwhile, only arrived in London last week following his switch from Paris. The Brazilian’s most recent match action was the Champions League final defeat to Bayern Munich last month.

Thiago Silva finally takes part in his first Chelsea training session

The day has arrived, new signing Thiago Silva has taken his first steps out onto the Cobham grounds and joined in his first Chelsea training session today.

The experienced Brazilian international was granted some time off to settle in his new place in London after arriving just over a week ago.

But the centre back has finally got to work with his new team mates and will hope to make himself available to face Liverpool on Sunday as a result

Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell are began training with their new Chelsea team-mates on Wednesday as Blues prepare for mouthwatering encounter with Premier League champions Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

 

Ben Chilwell has been working on his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury problems since completing his switch from Leicester City three weeks ago.

The 23-year-old left-back has not featured since sustaining the injury at the start of July in a Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

 

But the England international is closer to back to full fitness after made major part at Cobham’s training based on Wednesday morning.

Thiago Silva was also appeared at club’s training ground after arrived in London last week following his switch from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 35-year-old joined Chelsea on a one-year contract with option of extending the deal by a further 12 months.

 

The Brazilian becoming Chelsea’s fifth arrival of the summer and is expected to be in contention for Blues when welcome defending champions Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
