Manchester United started speaking to Borussia Dortmund after the January transfer window closed in a bid to reach an agreement for Jadon Sancho early.
The 20-year-old England international is expected to be back very soon in the Premier League, three years after his exit from Manchester City.
Most of Europe’s top clubs have been keeping a close watch on the winger’s situation in Germany.
However, Sport understands his £100million price tag has made the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea settle back a bit.
But Manchester United remain at the front of the queue and Transfer Expert, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who Leaked the confirmation about Harry Maguire’s £80m transfer, has confirmed again that the Red Devils are confident of securing a deal.
But they have faced a huge problem because negotiations are stalling due to the ongoing worldwide coronavirus outbreak.
“Manchester United have been in talks with Jadon Sancho’s agent for over two months and are working on a contract,” Romano said Live on Instagram.
“The coronavirus situation is making it everything hard to communicate with Borussia Dortmund but United remain very confident.”

The majority of Europe’s leagues, including the Champions League and Europa League, have all been suspended and will likely resume next month.
With the crisis still causing havoc across the world, it could take longer into the summer before football or all sporting events resumes.
The Suspension of all football/sporting activities is expected to have a different effect to the summer transfer window which mights cause problems for next season.
