Kai Havertz Want Chelsea but Man Utd Wish to hijack Chelsea’s move for Kai Havertz

Manchester United could hijack Chelsea’s bid to sign Kai Havertz if they cannot get a deal done for Jadon Sancho, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Havertz is widely expected to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

But the Bayer Leverkusen star has previously been linked with Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool.

Sancho is United’s top target this summer, but the club is finding it hard to strike a deal, as Borussia Dortmund continue to play hardball over the £100million-rated winger.

And while United have not given up hope of signing the 20-year-old, if they continue to be frustrated they could turn instead to Havertz.

Leverkusen valued the 21-year-old at around £90m, after he scored 18 goals and provided nine assists in all competitions last season

Chelsea is expected to start another talk with Bayer Leverkusen about the availability of Kai Havertz today fees seems to be the problem which is around £80m

The Premier League giants, Manchester United, are said to be ready to compete with Chelsea in the hunt for Kai Havertz after being frustrated by the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

Throughout the summer transfer market so far, Man United have continued to be linked with Sancho. In several reports, it was stated that the Red Devils had reached an agreement with the player and it was only possible to complete the transfer fee.

But Man United had to take a bitter pill after Michael Zorc as Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director confirmed that Sancho would stay. This was reported because the Red Devils failed to fulfill an agreement with Die Borussen within the predetermined time limit (10 August 2020).

This clearly frustrates Man United. Moreover, Sancho is one of the main targets. However, the high price asked by Dortmund in the midst of a pandemic made this transfer canceled.

As a result, Manchester United diverted their prey. With Sancho’s transfer funds, the Red Devils are reportedly ready to compete with Chelsea in the hunt for another German Bundesliga star, Kai Havertz .

Reported by the Mirror , the name Havertz has actually been linked with Chelsea this summer. Even personal agreements have been obtained by both parties. However, the Blues have yet to find a bright spot regarding the cost of paying for Bayer Leverkusen.

It was said that Leverkusen asked for a dowry of 100 million euros (around IDR 1.7 trillion), but Chelsea was only able to pay 80 million euros (IDR 1.3 trillion). This makes the move yet to happen officially.

Manchester United are aware of the difficulties their rivals are experiencing and are ready to undermine the negotiations. The Red Devils are reportedly ready to exceed Chelsea’s offer and bring their rivals to Old Trafford.

Of course with Jadon Sancho’s dowry, Manchester United can fulfill Leverkusen’s request for Kai Havertz. This will clearly make Chelsea have to speed up the negotiation process if they don’t want to get ahead of their rivals
