Don’t expect the Kai Havertz to Chelsea transfer saga to end anytime in the very near future at least.
We see report after report on the biggest transfer story of the summer so far, but as per reliable German publication Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen want Havertz to finish the season with them by competing in the rest of the Europa League in August.
The report, as translated by Transfermarkt, offers some very positive news for Chelsea fans though.
They claim that Havertz has made the decision to join Chelsea this summer, and this has been agreed for some time.
The price will not be an issue, with Roman Abramovich ‘willing and capable’ to sign the German international regardless.
This is welcome news for Blues fans who might be concerned of other clubs coming in for the 21-year old. Of course, nothing is done until it is officially announced by either club, so we have a way to go yet
