The Premier League returns on 12th September 2020 as football actions return once again. Frank Lampard will be starting the second premier league season as Chelsea manager when Chelsea takes on Brighton Hove Albion on Monday 14th, 2020
Chelsea was suspended from making any signing after they club violated some UEFA rules. Frank Lampard was unable to add any quality player in the team and was forced to use academy players for the larger part of the season. This season Chelsea was allowed to make new signings and the have made use of that opportunity well as they have recruited six be signing Including Kai Havertz.
Frank Lampard has added Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Thiago Silva, and Ben Chiwell to the team. Both Ziyech and Werner started beautifully in their first pre-season match as they showed to Chelsea’s fans a glimpse of what to expect in the coming days.
Chelsea was handed a massive boost as Christain Pulisic, Caesar Azpilicueta, and Reece James all return to training after shaking off injuries the picked over the past weeks. However, the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chiwell, and Thiago Silva are still unavailable due to injury.
Chelsea shared a photo of the player’s training together at Cobham training center and it has caused a lot of reactions. Chelsea fans pleaded with other Chelsea’s players, not to injured Chelsea’s newest signing, Kai Havertz.
