It has been a pretty good summer transfer for Chelsea this window, having spent a whopping £200million on player signings.
The Blues have so far added the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz into the team, and are also on the brink of completing deal for Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy with a possible inclusion of Declan Rice from West Ham United.
However, the possible signing of Declan Rice would certainly limit playing time for some midfielders and Frank Lampard is eager to send a number of players out on loan this summer, and one of such is midfielder Connor Gallagher.
The 20-year old has yet to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea, but he did started 44 matches during loan spells with Charlton Athletic and Swansea City in the Championship.
And according to the Daily Express, Connor Gallagher has signed a new five-year contract deal to stay at Stamford Bridge – and been immediately loaned out to newly-promoted side West Brom for regular game time.
Blues manager Frank Lampard has made it clear that he needs to manage a huge squad and insisted a number of players would be leaving the club following Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Brighton on Monday night.
The midfield though looks occupied, with Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Barkley, Mason Mount, Billy Gilmour and Kai Havertz all ahead of him in a central role.
