Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan: Terms ‘agreed’, Inter submit second bid, £17m asking price

January transfer window is starting now more than half-way through, and while most of the concentration at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be on bringing players into the club there is one particular outgoing that seems to be edging closer every day.

Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move away from the club since he spoke about his desire for a ‘new challenge’ in the summer.

Interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United has come and gone, with Italian side Inter Milan now in pole position to take the Danish international to the San Siro during the January transfer window.

Terms have already been agreed on a transfer that will see him arrive in Italy in June when he is out of contract, but will the midfielder be leaving Tottenham before that?

Here we take a look at how the transfer saga involving Eriksen has played out so far.

Daniel Levy calls Real Madrid

Eriksen appeared unwilling to sign a new contract at Tottenham.

That was according to Spanish outlet Marca, who also stated that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has called Real Madrid general manager Jose Angel Sanchez to try and broker a deal
