Chelsea vs Liverpool Confirmed Lineup Jorginho and Kovacic starts Giroud on Bench #CHELIV

The Blues host the Premier League champions at Stamford Bridge

Hello and welcome to the huge Premier League clash between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Both teams got their campaigns off to a decent start last weekend with victories, but this will be a bigger test for either side.

For the Blues it is set to be a home debut for Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, however Frank Lampard has some injury concerns.

Christian Pulisic, Thiago Silva, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell are all out of the game in a big blow for the Blues.

But there were some positives for Lampard from the Brighton win as the Blues take on the current champions.

Follow all the action from west London right here.

Some surprises

There are a few surprises in the starting XI from Frank Lampard, with no Cesar Azpilicueta at left-back.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek dropped out of the side completely, while keeping Jorginho means it looks more like a 4-3-3.

Kepa keeping his place is a slight surprise as well, it has to be said, with another goal conceded at Brighton when he should have done better.

No Rudiger?

Frank Lampard has made a big selection call, with Antonio Rudiger apparently not in today’s squad.

According to The Telegraph, the Germany international’s future is now in doubt at the Blues.

Club captain

With the arrival of Thiago Silva to the club, there has been some discussion about who should be the captain moving forward.

However, for Frank Lampard there appears to still be only one man for the job.
