Chelsea vs Barnsley: Ben Chilwell And Thiago Silva Start in Defence, Caballero in Goal Keeper.#CHEBAR

Football action will continue in the midweek, this time out, is not the English Premier League games but the Carabao Cup matches.
Chelsea will host Barnsley at the Stamford Bridge on the 23rd of September in the 3rd round of the competition.
The Blues will have to improve after their disappointing display against Liverpool on Sunday, and the defending Champions won them 2 goals to nil.

Frank Lampard will make some changes in his team, some of the men who didn’t play in their last match will likely be included in the starting XI. The changes may have nothing to do with some of the mistakes the Blues made in their last match.

This is how Chelsea could line up:

Caballero (Goalkeeper)

Chilwell

Silva

Tomori

Azpilicueta

Barkley

Jorginho

Loftus-Cheek

Mount

Abraham

Hudson-Odoi

Willy Caballero will be in goal. This goalkeeper is a great shot stopper, just that he don’t have enough playing time because Kepa Arrizabalaga is the first choice for the team. Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva who were doubtful during the weekend, trained with their teammates, they are expected to start in today’s match, both experienced defenders will partner with Fikayo Tomori and Cesar Azpilicueta, solid backside.

Ross Barkley, Jorginho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will fit in the midfield. I think Loftus-Cheek didn’t play well in the match against Brighton & Hove Albion, though the Blues won 3:0. We hope to see the midfielders at their best when they finally meet.

Mason Mount will play in the left wing while Hudson-Odoi will be in charge of the right flank, they will support Tammy Abraham who will top 9. With both player in the flanks, their attack will trouble the defence of Barnsley.

Chelsea and Barnsley had met two times in the Premier League, that was in 1997/1998 season, it’s a very love time, though, the Blues won in both legs, 6:0 and 2:0 respectively, history has a way of repeating itself, but let’s see how it goes, Barnsley are not doing badly.

In this phase is just a single leg, lose and go. Sometimes the teams at the lower division always try to play better anytime they are up against Premiership team, the match will be tough. However, Let the better side win.
