The Blues sealed an impressive 4-0 victory over the Eagles at Stamford Bridge.
Had absolutely nothing to do in the first half apart from a few passes with his feet. Good communication with his defence as they shifted around.
Only one save to make, with a shot across the box. A pretty easy debut to ease his way into the game. 6
Like the rest of the defence, very solid at the back. A couple of sloppy fouls, but kept his position well. Tried to get involved in attack, but couldn’t make anything happen.
Was key to the opening goal, with his shot coming across to Chilwell. Really was authoritative in the defence as well. Shows a key role he can play in this team. 7
Really solid start from the Brazilian, with his positioning in particular being key for the Blues in breaking up any Palace breaks.
It was the same in the second half as he had an air of complete control. Really dominated at the back and that mistake at West Brom was completely behind him. 8
A really excellent first half from the centre-back with his positioning and tackling on point. Really didn’t give the Palace front line much of a sniff.
Excellent in the second half has well with his positions and he fully deserved his goal. Maybe should have got another, but a really excellent display. 9
A bright start from him at left-back. Pretty solid at the back and looked to get forward, with his set-pieces being impressive as well.
He grew into the game even more and got a dream debut goal as he smashed into the back of the net. His crossing was excellent and he provided an assist for Zouma. A brilliant Premier League debut for Chelsea. 9
Had a decent tempo to his game in the first half, moving the ball well which opened up some space. However, that slowed as the half went on, apart from one ball over the top.
Two excellent penalties to put the Liverpool miss behind him. A decent performance from him in the middle of the park. 7
Was a little sloppy on the ball at times, but his work off it was excellent. Some great blocks and breaking up play, being a massive part of why Palace couldn’t break through.
Excellent in the second half, as well. Always seemed to be in the right position and breaking up the play for Palace. 8
Given the freedom in the number ten role to roam and find space. His tempo was better on the ball and he had one excellent break to create a chance.
His height was a real advantage defending corners, as well. He also dealt with the physicality of the game and took some knocks. Looks like he is starting to get into gear. 6
A man in the spotlight and he started well, getting at his man and making things happen. Faded a little as the half went on, being crowded out on the wing.
Showed flashes of why Chelsea must keep him, with one exquisite run to the right byline and cross to Abraham. Looked to have more confidence in his game. 7
Looked isolated in the first half on the left, and not really in the play at all with Palace closing him quickly. Started to look a bit frustrated and only one shot straight at Vicente Guaita.
Still didn’t have too much room to work with in the second half. Looked to be positive, but didn’t really have the opportunity to get at his man. 5
Nothing going for him in the first half, with only one header to shout about. Tried to get behind at times, but had no space to work with.
Much better in the second half and he held the ball up very well and worked hard. Excellent for the first penalty. Should have scored from a header, though. 6
Christian Pulisic (on for Hudson-Odoi 83′)
Good to see him back on the pitch, but not much chance to influence the game. 5
Mateo Kovacic (on for Kante 83′)
Just helped see out the win late on.
