Chelsea have already completed the signing of Ajax star Hakim Ziyech and RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, but the Blues boss Frank Lampard want more signing, and he is determined and looking forward to add two to three players, as he bid to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City for the title next season.
And recent reports suggest Chelsea are very close to completing a move for Bayer Leverkusen sensation Kai Havertz, after the German side failed to qualify for next season Champions League.
The Telegraph also claim the Blues will be submitting an official bid for the Germany international after the the DFB Pokal final, which was played yesterday, in which Bayer Leverkusen lost to Bayern Munich.
But according to Bild, Havertz is now determined to discuss his future with current club Bayer Leverkusen, as he prepares to complete a move to Stamford Bridge, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid not ready to make a bid for the 21 year-old midfielder.
However, despite the fact that Bayer Leverkusen didn’t qualify for next season Champions League, the young sensation will not come cheap, and it is claimed a move could cost in the region of £75m.
Havertz has been in sensational form for the German side this season, in which he scored 17 goals and contributed 8 assists in all competition.
