Chelsea happy to outbid Bayer Leverkusen for Ajax keeper Onana

The goalkeeper situation has sprung back to the forefront of Chelsea’s minds with Kepa Arrizabalaga dropped from the crunch Premier League game with Wolves.

Getting rid of Kepa may be difficult in the current market, with a loan the most likely solution to free up space.

As for a replacement, Andre Onana and Jan Oblak are being looked at, with the former more likely to be the easier to get.

But it is now something the Blues are looking at to sort out the issue.

Voetbal International says Bayer Leverkusen is entering a tug of war with Chelsea and has offered €20m for Onana.

But Chelsea are still in the picture and are ready to offer Ajax around €30m.

Chelsea have now secured Champions League games for next season, which means a bump in the transfer budget for manager Frank Lampard.

Bayer Leverkusen have submitted a €20 million (£18m/$23m) bid for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana but Chelsea are willing to offer €30m (£27m/$34m). The Blues can now also offer Champions League football next season after securing fourth place in the Premier League.
Chelsea will prioritise the signing of a new goalkeeper once a deal is finalised for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz, with sources telling ESPN that manager Frank Lampard has lost patience with No.1 Kepa Arrizabalaga.
