Chelsea trained today in Cobham ahead of their first pre season match of the summer against Brighton and Hove Albions on Saturday. Reports circulated earlier about few players within the squad coming in contact with Covid19 but that did not prevent the remaining players in the team from training. Chelsea returned to training this week after the time off given to players to rest after the season ended and new signings Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech has been performing wonderfully well in the training ground.
Pictures of todays training has been released by the media and in one particular picture, new striker Timo Werner was shown dribbling past Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa and stroking the ball into the back of the net. The German born striker is known to be lethal in front of goal and his stats for former club RB Leipzig during the past seasons speaks for itself. He has scored over 90 goals for Rb Leipzig in 5 years which is a wonderful return for someone who plays predominantly on the left wing.
It seems like he has brough that form to Chelsea training and his recent showings in training will no doubt delight Chelsea manager and the fans also. One fan who reacted to the picture, hilariously wrote ” He is already torturing Kepa”. There was little Kepa could do in training to stop the lethal hitman from hitting the back of the net. Here is the picture from training and the fans reactions….
