Chelsea Board Set to Agree £87million Deal to Complete Double Transfer of World-Class Defenders

Chelsea Football Club are in the market as the Blues are keen to bring in world-class defenders to massively improve the overall quality of the back-line ahead of next season. According to reports, Chelsea are ready to complete a signings of Lewis Dunk from Brighton and Hove Albion and John Stones from Manchester City in a massive double transfer swoop this summer.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen to complete the signing of a Centre-back this summer and the Blues have been linked with a host of players as Frank Lampard seeks to improve his squad. Chelsea have now turned their focus to the signing of Lewis Dunk from Brighton after the Blues failed to agree a fee with West-Ham for the signing of Declan Rice this summer.

28-Year Old England international defender Lewis Dunk has been regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League has attracted the interest of several top clubs in the league. The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester City and even Manchester City have all be linked with the player but Chelsea are poised to acquire the signature of the player.

 

 

According to reports, Chelsea have match Brighton’s £50million valuation to complete the signing of the Club’s captain. Lewis Dunk is a beast of a defender who will bring in massive quality to Chelsea, his excellent reading of the game, strong tackling skills, ability to win aerial duels and his excellent passing range will be a huge plus for Lampard.

Lewis Dunk may not be a household name amongst the Chelsea fans but his performances has shown that he is arguably better than Chelsea’s current defenders and he also has what it takes to excel at Chelsea. His signing will bring quality for the club and also huge experience for Chelsea’s young side.

Lewis Dunk has a commanding presence in defense and he could have a similar impact that Virgil Van Dijk has for Liverpool and this shows he’s that good a as defender and a leader from the back which is what Lampard needs in his team.

Also, Chelsea are also opening to also signing John Stones from Manchester City as the English international defender has been linked with a move of out of Pep Guardiola’s team this summer. John Stones has been regarded as a hugely talented defender but although, recent his injury stalled his progress, the 26-year old is ready to rejuvenate his career at a new club.

John Stones is a solid defender and he was a Chelsea target before he moved to Manchester City from Everton as a young defender. The English man has been viewed as a player who will bring in quality and premier league and Champions league experience to the Blues.

According to reports, Chelsea are ready to sign both John Stones and Lewis Dunk for £85million than to sign just Declan Rice for £80million. A fee in the region of €40million will be enough for Chelsea to sign John Stones from Manchester city as Pep Guardiola is ready to let the defender go.

However, Chelsea will have to battle with Arsenal for then signing of John Stones as the Gunners have also been linked with the signing of the defender. Chelsea are in a pole position to complete both transfers for Dunk and Stones and this will be a huge step for Chelsea to help improve the defense which has been leaky over the past year
