Chelsea will be hoping to mastermind a famous Champions League comeback when they face German giants Bayern Munich in the second-leg of their last-16 tie on Saturday evening at the Allianz Arena.
Having lost the first-leg 3-0 at Stamford Bridge all the way back in February, Chelsea will travel to Germany looking to produce a European miracle.
Bayern, who have won the Champions League five times in their rich and colourful history, dismantled the Blues in a rampant second half performance in the first-leg, all but ending Frank Lampard’s side’s hopes of progressing to the last-eight of the competition.
If the the task that lies ahead of the Blues was not already hard enough, confidence is bound to be low after last weekend’s FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal. Despite Christian Pulisic’s early opener for the Blues, a brace from Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang turned the game on its head and sealed Mikel Arteta’s first trophy as Gunners boss
