Boxing Day:Chelsea team news and full line up

There’s been a feelgood factor at Chelsea since Frank Lampard became their manager in the summer.

The good mood reached a new high on Sunday as the Blues put in arguably their best performance of the season when they won at Tottenham.

It was something of a surprise victory given Chelsea had lost four of their last five before the game, while Spurs had won four of their last five under Jose Mourinho.

But two first-half goals from Willian sealed the 2-0 win in a game that was unfortunately overshadowed by racial abuse Blues defender Antonio Rudiger and Spurs forward Heung-Min Son allegedly received.

Lampard outwitted his former boss, deciding to adopt a 3-4-2-1 system instead of the 4-3-3 formation Chelsea usually use.

It was the first time Chelsea had started with a three-man defence in any competition since October 2 so it would be a surprise if Lampard persevered with it for their clash at home to Southampton on Boxing Day.

Lampard may also want to rotate things slightly as the matches come thick and fast at this time of year. They play Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on December 29 which they’ll have an eye on.

Jorginho and Christian Pulisic were on the bench at Spurs, while Cesar Azpilicueta is being assessed after limping off towards the end of the game although he left the stadium unaided.

As for Southampton, they go into the game having claimed a 3-1 win at fellow strugglers Aston Villa although they are still firmly in the battle to avoid relegation.

So who will Lampard pick for the clash at Stamford Bridge? Below you can see talkSPORT.com‘s predicted Chelsea line-up.
