4 Chelsea Star Players Who Will Miss The Match Against Liverpool And Why.

 

Chelsea football club began its 2020/2021 season with a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday night, with big-money signings Timo Werner and Kai Havertz both making their debuts in that match.

Timo Werner was forced off with a dead leg but he is expected to be fit before the match against Liverpool on Sunday to make his first home debut for Chelsea.

With the blues looking to win the match on Sunday, four of their star players may be missing the game. Here are four of them and why they will miss the match;

 

1. Thiago Silva.

Thiago has been training with the blues, but the Chelsea boss thinks he still needs more time to adapt to the team style of play.

Here is what the Chelsea boss said in his press conference;

 

 

“Thiago (Silva) has been training for the last three or four days, but Liverpool will come too soon for him.”

So all Chelsea fans will still need to wait for a little while before they will see their Brazilian star defender in the pitch.

2. Ben Chilwell.

The Chelsea left-back is not fit to play the match due to injury.

“Chilwell is not ready for the game We hope he will work well during the week,” The boss told Football.London during his pre-match press conference.

3. Christian Pulisic.

Christian pulisic did not play the match against Brighton due to injury, the boss thinks he is not ready also.

“Christian Pulisic is not ready for the game. We hope he will work well during the week,” Lampard also told Football.London during his pre-match press conference.

4. Hakim Ziyech.

The new signing is yet to play a competitive match for the blues due to an injury he picked up during their pre-season game against Brighton.

The Chelsea boss thinks he is not also ready for the game on Sunday. Here is what he said below;

“Hakim Ziyech is also not ready for the game. Werner is fit, though.
